Hi, I'm Jakub, a DevOps Engineer since 2019 and Google Cloud Architect since 2023. Currently working for a software house - SoftwareMill.

My professional interests include cloud computing, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines. I'm passionate about designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.

In my free time, I enjoy developing software using Python and Angular, exploring self-hosted projects, and discovering software for Linux. By the way, I'm also a scuba diver and ham radio operator.

Project E: Executed a seamless migration from on-premise infrastructure to a tailor-made Google landing zone. Containerized numerous applications, leveraging services such as GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud DNS, Cloud SQL, Memorystore, and Cloud Storage. Established comprehensive observability with metrics, logs, and traces. Utilized Github Actions and Workload Identity for enhanced functionality and security.
Project D: Implemented secure deployment of multiple applications using Azure DevOps within the on-premise infrastructure of a bank.
Project C: Led the implementation of multiple GCP projects from ground up.
Project B: Contributed to building GCP Landing Zones, including for a top 5 Polish bank by assets.
Project A: Managed on-premise infrastructure. Implemented CI/CD based on Bitbucket and Gitlab.

This project involved developing a mobile application based on Progressive Web App (PWA) technology, compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows platforms. The primary goal was to enhance the efficiency of parking controllers. The application featured capabilities such as capturing photos, recognizing license plates under challenging lighting conditions, detecting user locations, and issuing parking tickets.

Responsive frontend for a pastebin-like application, enabling seamless file and text sharing. Key features included automatic MIME type detection, filename randomization, link expiration, and on-demand file removal. The backend was powered by a linx-server, ensuring reliable and efficient performance.

My very first Bash script. Designed to secure SSH. It disables password authentication, selects a random port within the dynamic port range, and optionally creates a master key that can be used to log in as any user.

The project involved implementing DNS load balancing based on GeoIP. 12 WWW servers were spread across the globe with 3 anycast DNS servers. The service was capable of serving 3 thousand requests per second, all under $32/year
